Orbis rewrites the affected section

The documentation problem every product team has

Your new PM spends their first two weeks reading through 300 closed JIRA tickets to understand what the product does.

Your QA engineer asks engineering what changed in the last sprint. Again.

Your product spec was written 18 months ago and reflects maybe 40% of what's actually shipped.

Nobody has time to update the docs. Every sprint makes it worse.

Orbis's living product guide fixes this without adding any work to your sprint.

How the living product guide works

Your team ships a ticket

When any JIRA ticket in your connected board moves to Done, Orbis detects the update automatically. No extra step from your PM or engineering.

Orbis identifies the relevant guide section

Using the ticket's epic, description, and acceptance criteria, Orbis finds the section of your product guide that describes the affected feature area.

The section is rewritten in plain English

Orbis rewrites the section to reflect what was shipped: what changed, what was added, what was removed. The language is plain enough for anyone on the team to read, not just engineering.

The whole team has an accurate guide

Your new PM, QA engineer, designer, and support team all read the same guide. It reflects what is in production right now, not what someone documented a year ago.

Who the guide serves

The guide is written once for the whole team. Not just the PM who wrote the ticket.

New product managers

Understand the full product in hours, not weeks. No closed ticket archaeology required.

QA engineers

Know exactly what changed each sprint without asking engineering. Test confidently.

Designers

See what is actually in production before starting new work. No assumption mismatch.

Customer support

Answer product questions accurately with a guide that reflects the real product.

Stakeholders

Get a plain-language view of the product without reading technical tickets.

Engineering

Stop answering "what does this feature do?" questions. The guide answers them.

Common questions

Can I edit the product guide manually?

Yes. Every section is editable. Manual edits are preserved across future auto-updates. Orbis only rewrites the sections directly affected by new completed tickets.

Is the guide per board or shared across boards?

Each connected JIRA board has its own product guide. Context is fully isolated per board, so guides never bleed between products or clients.

Can I export or share the product guide?

Yes. The product guide is exportable as Markdown or plain text, and you can share a read-only link with stakeholders who don't have an Orbis account.

What if a ticket description is vague?

Orbis uses the ticket title, description, acceptance criteria, and epic context together. If a ticket is too vague to update the guide meaningfully, Orbis flags it rather than writing something inaccurate.
